Happy Easter

With the holiday weekend here, it feels like spring has arrived. I adore the season. There’s something romantic and exciting about spring.  Flowers are blooming, birds are singing and the weather shows the promise of warm summer days ahead.

I haven’t taken part in any Easter traditions since I was little, but I still remember how much fun it was to put on a pretty new dress to hunt down eggs filled with treats in the park. It makes me want to put on a ridiculous floral dress and host a garden tea party…Instead, we will be hosting a Game of Thrones season three viewing party with friends and I can’t wait.

Hope you had a wonderful weekend! xx

Desert Mod

Last week, my boyfriend and I went on our annual Palm Springs trip to watch some professional tennis, hike, eat Mexican food and visit The Living Desert (an animal reserve). We spent plenty of time in our hotel’s hot tub, while taking in beautiful desert mountain views and clear blue skies. It was refreshing to get out of the city and away from our apartment for a few days.

I was attracted to the mod-inspired, geometric print of this dress and its easy, versatile style. I can dress it up or down. With sneakers, the dress was comfortable for a full day spent exploring the animal reserve. I wore it later with dressy platform wedges for dinner. The dress felt like a perfect fit for our desert resort retreat.

Dress: c/o Banana Republic (from the new Mad Men collection), sneakers: Jack Purcell, bag: Longchamp.

Small Wonder: Vancouver

Here are a few photos from my recent trip to Vancouver. As I mentioned in the last post, I adore the city. I was able to explore Vancouver during a trip earlier this year seen here and here and going back last week was a treat. Some of my favorite things about the area are the water and port city feel, intimate shops, especially the home decor ones, its greenery (though due to lots of rain) and modern clean aesthetics in its hotels and restaurants.

Leopard and Stripes

I spent most of last week in Vancouver for work. It was my second trip there in the last two months and I have  developed a serious crush on the city (the relationship progressed quickly given its similarities to San Francisco where I grew up). While I toyed with the idea of packing up my bags and heading back for good, I was too happy to come home to warm sunny weather. IMG_7549 IMG_7541_2 IMG_7533 IMG_7551

A striped shirt and leopard pumps feel classic, preppy and fun. The shirt is one of my staples as it can be worn in many different ways as seen with a sheer skirt here and boyfriend jeans here.  These leopard heels have quickly become a new favorite of mine as they are just as versatile (also worn here).

Striped shirt: Gap, jeans: Cheap Monday, belt: H&M, embellished bag: c/o Juicy Couture, leopard heels: Sam Edelman, leaf bracelet: Banana Republic, rings: Suzanne Felsen (cocktail), Ariel Gordon (knot band).
