Fab Friday: My Go To Nighttime Looks

There are two looks I swear by for evening events, particularly on the weekend. This is the first: a peplum top, slightly flared, dark jean and a leather jacket. The other, slightly dressier option, is an accessorized, simple shift dress like this. Once I have the clothes on, I add heels, a clutch, statement earrings (or oversized studs), a few bracelets and a cocktail ring to complete the look.

My current makeup favorites for a night out: bold, coral lip + purple eyeshadow (it’s usually a little more eggplant than lilac).

It seems like last minute events and outings come up often and trying to figure out what to wear can sometimes be a daunting process. I would pull out one thing after another from my closet in attempting to put together an outfit. Now, I make sure that I have a few no-fail outfit options that work for just about anything from sushi with friends, to a casual business dinner, to a cocktail party. It makes getting ready much easier.

I’ll have an evening essentials post up tomorrow that breaks down these staple looks.  Do you have nighttime pieces that you swear by?

On another note, a big thank you to my friend Arica for including my succulent centerpiece as one of her fave DIYs. Check it out here.

Peplum top: H&M, flared jeans: Banana Republic, leather jacket: Nordstrom (similar here), clutch: American Apparel, cocktail ring: Suzanne Felsen, bracelets: leather and gold bracelet purchased in Italy years ago, Sheila Fajl (bangles).

I’m trying to find a peplum top that will fit me! Did you get any of yours from H&M recently?

    • Hi Vicki! Yes, the last time I bought a peplum top from H&M was just a few weeks ago. I’ve been there more recently and they always have a few options. Finding your size can be hard though. Good luck and thanks for visiting! Xx
