I can’t seem to get enough of pastel colors lately, as clearly seen in recent posts. But, I wanted to try another big color trend for spring further from my comfort zone, neon. With NYFW fall shows just a week away, I am taking full advantage of the bold color stories from spring and summer. If the pre fall shows are any indication of what will be shown next week, fall will surely be full of gray shades with some pops of dark jewel tones that I’m not quite ready to embrace.
When I saw this dress in the store, I initially hesitated on trying it. I almost never wear orange, and I almost never wear neon. The classic style made me think twice – and I’m so glad I did. I’ve worn it several times already and will certainly be buying more orange in the future. Tangerine Tango (a red-orange) was named Pantone’s color of the year. To make the look more interesting, I added fun accessories, a lime green clutch, feather earrings and leopard print wedges.
Today is shaping up to be a great day. It started with successfully hunting down Jason Wu for Target and then a hike in the Hollywood Hills. I’ll have more on the Jason Wu later. Now, it’s Super Bowl time! We will be going to a friend’s party to enjoy a little football and a lot of yummy food. I’m secretly hoping for a few minutes of the Puppy Bowl here and there. Hope you are all having a great weekend!
