Small (San Diego trip) Wonders

It’s always hard to go back to work after a long break. Now that I’m settling into my normal schedule, I’ve been thinking about all of the wonderful things that happened over the holidays. My vacation began with a trip to San Diego, only a few hours drive from L.A. It was the ideal way to kick off a relaxing and fun holiday break, and end what has otherwise been a great year.

Elaborate pottery in Old Town.

Love the colors and handsewn floral embroidery on this Mexican dress.

A beautiful San Diego sunset.

During a trip to the aquarium, I spotted this gorgeously colored and patterned fish. I hadn’t been to an aquarium in years and it was probably my favorite part of the trip.

My favorites were the seahorses. I love this bright yellow spotted one.

Well, hello Nemo, you sure are cute.

Another seahorse. Did you know that there are over 50 species of seahorses? The San Diego aquarium specializes in and breeds many types like this crazy guy because they are endangered. So cool.

The fountain outside of our hotel room added to the resort’s pretty, peaceful ambiance.

I can’t resist a good succulent. The beautiful colors, shape and ruffled edges caught my eye.
