Holiday Red in Old Town San Diego

I can’t believe how quickly the holidays came and went. I’m a little sad not to have them to look forward to, but it will be so nice to get back to a normal (far less crazy) routine. Here is the first of two holiday recaps going up this week. I spent the week of Christmas in San Diego which included a day in Old Town, a small area with Mexican-inspired shops, restaurants and plant nurseries.

The food in Old Town included amazing chile con queso full of spicy, fresh green chilies along with fresh tortilla chips and delicious mango mojitos. The stores offered intricate pottery, unique succulents, embroidered dresses and an array of loose gemstones, some of my favorite things. I’ll have more from the trip in a special Small Wonders post tomorrow. Until then, here’s a quick outfit post from the day.

Shift dress: Target, cardigan: Cheap Monday, belt: F21, sunglasses: Burberry, tights: Calvin Klein, booties: Steve Madden, beaded collar necklace: purchased in Old Town, bracelet: Banana Republic, bag: Longchamp.
